If your toddlers have a high arch and wide feet, these affordable shoes might be just what you’ve been looking for. I was able to get mine in the store at half off! (normally 2,160 yen)
I just bought these the other day for my girls and they have been working out really well! The quality is not the greatest, but after looking at hundreds of shoes and not being able to find any within our price range that fit, I was thrilled to finally find these! They support the ankles well and the girls were able to wear them all day without complaint.
I can’t even begin to tell you how frustrating it has been trying to find a good pair of shoes. I was determined to find a good pair of Made in Japan shoes considering I promote buying stuff made here in Japan, but I found absolutely nothing at a reasonable price. Nothing. I know some might complain about Made in China, but in this case, I’m willing to make an exception. China has really become quite the powerhouse, so we should always give credit where credit is due, right?
If you’re curious to learn more about the company that makes them–Rio Group Holdings Inc–you can go to their website. (Japanese Only) It looks like they’re reputable, have been around since 1926, and just merged with another company recently in 2012 to form their current name. They say they care about the environment and all that good stuff, so hurrah!
